Model entered their tilt with Berea on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Pirates  7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Patriots have posted  since April 5, 2024.
 Piper Moore was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Moore was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Rylli Hunt, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged two or more in each of the last six games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Josie Williams, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Model  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  games.
Model pushed their record up to 10-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Berea, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Model will venture away from home to  face off against Jackson County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Berea, they will face off against McCreary Central at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
