Volleyball Recap: Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Comes Up Short

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.

Aric Reuben was nothing short of spectacular for Sacramento Country Day: he had 14 digs and five aces.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Sacramento Country Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy will challenge Sacramento Adventist at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sacramento Country Day, they will venture away from home to challenge Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
