Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Jemison

Jemison waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Thorsby Rebels 48-33. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 55-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jemison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trinity Bean, who posted 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Bean has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caiana Lucas, who scored 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Jemison's record is now 4-1. As for Thorsby, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Jemison and Shelby County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Thorsby, they and Elmore County will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
