De Kalb suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: De Kalb Bears vs. Pewitt Brahmas
The De Kalb Bears were the 59-32 winner over the Pewitt Brahmas when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. De Kalb fell just short of Pewitt by a score of 44-41.
Pewitt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cedric Johnson out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Shaddix, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
De Kalb dropped their record down to 10-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pewitt, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. De Kalb will square off against Queen City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pewitt, they will head out on the road to face off against New Boston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
