Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Bulldogs vs. Castle Rock Rockets

Stevenson and Castle Rock are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Stevenson Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Castle Rock Rockets at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Stevenson had to suffer through a 87-50 loss at the hands of La Center. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Wildcats are ranked 153rd).

Meanwhile, Castle Rock didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Vancouver on Thursday and fell 61-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Rockets still had to take the loss.

Stevenson has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Castle Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Stevenson and Castle Rock were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but Stevenson came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss.
