Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Santa Fe

Santa Fe extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Burroughs. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Burros. Winning may never get old, but the Chiefs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

James Oregon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Santa Fe: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 12-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Macias, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Santa Fe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Santa Fe's win bumped their record up to 15-16. As for Burroughs, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14.

Santa Fe didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Marshall on the 23rd. Burroughs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
