Baseball Recap: Van Meter Comes Up Short

Van Meter was the 7-6 winner over Newman Catholic when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Friday.

Van Meter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Newman Catholic, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Van Meter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-4 win against Gilbert on the 24th. As for Newman Catholic, they will host Non Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
