Comanche was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Velma-Alma Comets. One positive for the Indians, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Comanche's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Velma-Alma, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comanche and Purcell will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Velma-Alma, they will be home for the holidays to greet Waurika at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Velma-Alma's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
