Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Vikings vs. Granville Blue Aces

The Northridge Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Granville Blue Aces at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Northridge took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They secured a 52-48 W over Sheridan. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Granville waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Red Devils as they made off with a 74-52 win. The Blue Aces' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Granville's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Northridge, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Northridge didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Granville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
