Softball Recap: Coldspring-Oakhurst Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coldspring-Oakhurst waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 9-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Trinity Rosales, who gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Anderson-Shiro off the board. With that strong performance, Rosales is now averaging an impressive 5 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Jasper Williams was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Ashney Minor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Williams wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Coldspring-Oakhurst kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.

Coldspring-Oakhurst's record now sits at 14-6. As for Anderson-Shiro, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4.

Coldspring-Oakhurst will have a chance to go back-to-back against Anderson-Shiro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
