Baseball Recap: Chaminade Julienne Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chaminade Julienne Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Monroe Hornets by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Charlie Lunne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Charlie Hoagland, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Chaminade Julienne Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Monroe, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

As of now, neither Chaminade Julienne Catholic nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
