Basketball Game Preview: Windsor Dukes vs. Surry County Cougars

Windsor is 2-8 against Surry County since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Windsor Dukes just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Surry County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Windsor is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Southampton Academy and fell 79-36.

Meanwhile, Surry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 55-23 to Franklin, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Surry County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Windsor was dealt a bruising 78-37 loss at the hands of Surry County when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Windsor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
