Basketball Recap: Nevada Comes Up Short

Nevada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Gilbert Tigers, falling 70-48. The Cubs were probably out for revenge after losing 59-23 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nevada's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gilbert, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Nevada wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-20 win against Greene County on the 28th. As for Gilbert, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Gilbert Tigers duke it out with the Carlisle Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
