Soccer Recap: Plainview Comes Up Short

Plainview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while the Pirates are ranked 58th).

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Plainview is taking a road trip to square off against Palo Duro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caprock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
