Baseball Recap: Dexter Beats Naylor for Their Third Straight Win

Dexter waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Naylor Eagles.

Dexter let Houston Neely and Nolan Alford run wild. Neely scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Alford scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Alford a new career-high. Trey Pedigo also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Dexter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Naylor, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Dexter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Kennett on the 26th. As for Naylor, they will head out to square off against Campbell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
