The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Fair Grove Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The contest marked the Fighting Irish's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Springfield Catholic's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Fair Grove, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
