It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wagner had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Winner Warriors by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Raiders.
Hannah Holzbauer paced Wagner's offense, picking up 16 kills. Holzbauer got some help from Braxton Nedved and her 34 assists. Nedved was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Wagner's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Winner, they moved to 25-7 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.
Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Wagner and Dakota Valley will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 11:00 a.m. on the 20th. Winner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
