Basketball Recap: Zion-Benton Comes Up Short

Zion-Benton lost against Libertyville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Zion-Benton Zee-Bees took a 63-45 bruising from the Libertyville Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Zee-Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Wildcats are ranked 90th).

Zion-Benton has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Libertyville, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zion-Benton will venture away from home to take on Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Libertyville, they will head out on the road to square off against Lake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
