Softball Recap: Scotland/Menno Falls Short Against Ranked Bon Homme

Scotland/Menno faced Bon Homme in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trappers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The game marked the Trappers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Scotland/Menno's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for Bon Homme, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Scotland/Menno is set to take on their familiar foe McCook Central/Montrose at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bon Homme will face off against rival Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
