Spotsylvania takes loss despite strong efforts from SAVANNAH TEEL and KELLY ROSS

Recap: Spotsylvania Knights vs. Chancellor Chargers

After a string of three wins, the Spotsylvania Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 62-37 loss at the hands of Chancellor. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spotsylvania has scored all season.

KELLY ROSS and SAVANNAH TEEL certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. ROSS scored 13 points along with nine rebounds, while TEEL scored ten points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.

Among those leading the charge was Kendall Scott, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Brockelbank, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Spotsylvania's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Chancellor, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Spotsylvania and Culpeper County will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Culpeper County is ranked 290th, while Spotsylvania is ranked 285th). Chancellor won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Colonial Forge at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. Colonial Forge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
