Basketball Recap: Steamboat Springs Comes Up Short

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Steamboat Springs was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Aspen Skiers and fell 61-29. While losing is never fun, the Sailors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Skiers are ranked 34th).

Steamboat Springs has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Aspen, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Looking ahead, Steamboat Springs will take on Moffat County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aspen, they will challenge Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Aspen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
