Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Treasure Coast

Centennial is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Treasure Coast is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Centennial Eagles will welcome the Treasure Coast Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Centennial's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Okeechobee 6-0. Give the Eagles' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

They hit Okeechobee with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Miley McCarty (2), Sara Smith (2), Caroline Andersen, and Azerel Cuello.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Treasure Coast). They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over Jensen Beach on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 6-0.

Centennial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those seven matches. As for Treasure Coast, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-4.

Centennial suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Treasure Coast in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Centennial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
