Football Recap: New Underwood Takes a Loss

New Underwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jones County Coyotes. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Coyotes earlier this season, when they won 34-12.

New Underwood's record now sits at 1-6. As for Jones County, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Looking ahead, New Underwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Philip at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Scotties have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Jones County, they will venture away from home to square off against Kadoka at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will be up against the Kougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.43 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
