Soccer Game Preview: Reagan vs. Brandeis

The Reagan Rattlers will take on the Brandeis Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Reagan beats Brandeis with five goals on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Reagan blew past Clark 5-1 on Friday. Considering the Rattlers have won four contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Brandeis came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.4 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rough Riders a 2-0 shutout. The Broncos' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Brandeis pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Reagan, the win got them back to even at 5-5-3.

Reagan suffered a grim 6-3 defeat to Brandeis in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Reagan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
