Baseball Game Preview: Lamar County Trojans vs. Jasper County Hurricanes

The Lamar County Trojans will challenge the Jasper County Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lamar County came up short against Social Circle on Wednesday, falling 14-4. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jasper County). They never let McNair get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won 11 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jasper County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lamar County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Lamar County was able to grind out a solid win over Jasper County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
