Soccer Recap: Longview Comes Up Short

Longview came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Forney Jackrabbits, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Jackrabbits are ranked ninth).

Longview has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. The victory (which was Forney's 17th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Coincidentally, Longview and Forney will both be playing North Forney the next time they take the pitch. Longview will host North Forney at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Forney will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
