Quincy took down Modoc on Saturday, a win that might not have happened without Jemma Trueblood's standout performance. Trueblood wasn't messing around, striking out 18 batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Trueblood's strong effort led Quincy over Modoc and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long.
