Softball Recap: Juarez-Lincoln Takes a Loss

Juarez-Lincoln managed to slip by Mission Veterans Memorial the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies lost 15-5 to the Patriots on Tuesday. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Juarez-Lincoln saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Valeria Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Roselynn Torres was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Juarez-Lincoln's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Looking ahead, Juarez-Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Nixon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. Mission Veterans Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
