Softball Recap: Cypress Creek's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Cypress Creek put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pasco. The Cypress Creek Coyotes came out on top against the Pasco Pirates by a score of 3-0. This was payback for the Coyotes, who suffered an 8-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Emily Bowling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Cypress Creek let Lily Briscoe and Solenia Suarez run wild. Briscoe scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Suarez went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Suarez a new career-high in stolen bases.

Cypress Creek's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Pasco, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will face off against River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pasco, they will take on Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
