Volleyball Recap: Layton Christian Academy Eagles vs. Grantsville Cowboys

Layton Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grantsville Cowboys. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cowboys earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Layton Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Grantsville work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-12, 23-25, 26-24.

Grantsville was led to victory by Haizlee Hall and Luiza Lupiao. Hall had 14 digs, while Lupiao had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs Hall has posted since back in October of 2024.

Layton Christian Academy now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Grantsville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Coincidentally, Layton Christian Academy and Grantsville will both be playing Logan the next time they take the court. The Cowboys will head out to face the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
