Legacy had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Legacy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 28-26, 25-15, 25-21.

Isaiah Moore paced Legacy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Moore got some help from Isaac Schultz and his 27 assists. Finally, Moore was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Sierra Vista's loss came despite strong showings from Christian Diaz and Ben La. Diaz had 16 digs and one assist, while La had 16 kills and eight digs. La has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 16 times he's played.

Legacy's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-8. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-15.

Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sierra Vista, they have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Centennial on the 1st.
