Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Deshler

Deshler had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Muscle Shoals Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

While Deshler won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 27-25.

Olivia Adams paced Deshler's offense, picking up nine kills. Adams got some help from Makayla Willingham and her 16 assists. Finally, Malaya Jackson kept Deshler's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Deshler's win bumped their record up to 32-8. As for Muscle Shoals, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14.

Deshler has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Athens Bible on the 4th. As for Muscle Shoals, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 4th.
