            Softball Recap: Sehome Mariners vs. Meridian Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            After losing to Meridian the last time they met, Sehome decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Sehome walked away with  an   8-5  win over Meridian  on Thursday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mariners.

 Sarah Kruzich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five  runs (all of which were unearned)  on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jacinta Lewis, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  she  launched this season.  Radler Rosellison was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
The  victory  got Sehome back to even at 3-3. As for Meridian,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sehome is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Mt. Baker  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Meridian will  take on  rival Squalicum  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
