Basketball Preview: Tuscarora Titans vs. North Hagerstown Hubs
Tuscarora is on a six-game streak of home losses, the Hubs a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Tuscarora Titans will take on the North Hagerstown Hubs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Tuscarora took a serious blow against the Cadets, falling 65-31. While losing is never fun, Tuscarora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Cadets are ranked 32nd).
Despite their loss, Tuscarora saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Skylar Davis, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, North Hagerstown was beaten by the 56-20 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Hagerstown has scored all season.
Tuscarora's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for North Hagerstown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Tuscarora strolled past the Hubs in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 65-47. Does Tuscarora have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
