Softball Recap: St. Anne Cardinals vs. Beecher Bobcats
St. Anne had lost 21 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-13 to make it 22. They lost 14-0 to the Beecher Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Tuesday.
As for Beecher, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matches by seven runs or more this season.
For Beecher's part, Taylor Norkus was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Norkus has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
