Softball Game Preview: Foothill Tech Dragons vs. Grace Lancers

Foothill Tech hasn't had much luck against Grace recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Foothill Tech has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Foothill Tech came up short against St. Bonaventure on Tuesday, falling 15-3.

Foothill Tech saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Morales, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grace). They never let Del Sol get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lancers with their most commanding win of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Grace and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Foothill Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Foothill Tech couldn't quite get it done against Grace when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 4-0. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
