Baseball Recap: Dothan Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Dothan barely beat Cottonwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Bears on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Will Walker, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Dothan pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Cottonwood, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dothan will venture away from home to challenge Enterprise at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cottonwood, they will head out to face off against Rehobeth at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
