Volleyball Recap: Curie Takes a Loss

Curie entered their matchup against Little Village on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Condors fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 2-1. The Condors were not able to make up for their loss to the Phoenix from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Curie sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-19.

Curie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2. As for Little Village, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Curie will take on rival Hubbard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Little Village is set to square off against their familiar foe Solorio at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Phoenix's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Sun Warriors have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
