Football Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland came into this matchup off a tough 28-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Franklin Panthers by a score of 31-28 on Friday. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 7-0 in the first quarter.

This is the second loss in a row for Cleveland and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Franklin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

After each having a week off, Cleveland and Crenshaw will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Cavaliers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Franklin, they will square off against South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
