Basketball Recap: Dyett Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dyett walked away with it. They pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over the Leo Lions on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four games in a row.

Dyett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devon Shelton, who posted ten points and five boards. What's more, Shelton also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Rickey Coleman was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Dyett's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Leo, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 23-12 record.

Dyett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-36 win against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on the 10th. Leo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
