Football Game Preview: Village Christian Crusaders vs. Oak Park Eagles + How To Watch

The Village Christian Crusaders will take on the Oak Park Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Village Christian is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Aquinas on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Crusaders were dealt a 42-12 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-6.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Oak Park made sure to put some points up on the board against Royal on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Highlanders with a sharp 41-20 win. Considering the Eagles have won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Oak Park's win came from a few key players Village Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lan Morrison, who picked up 52 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Grayson Auzat, who threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt.

Oak Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.5 points over those games.
