Volleyball Recap: Cypress Ridge Takes a Loss

Cypress Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cy-Fair Bobcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-5.

Jadyn Lastrap paced Cypress Ridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Lastrap got some help from Grace Massingill and her nine assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cy-Fair to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brynn Bonini, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Bonini has posted since back in August.

Cypress Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Cy-Fair, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-16.

Cypress Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Memorial on the 7th. Cy-Fair has also already played their next match (against Jersey Village), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
