Baseball Recap: Leuzinger Comes Up Short

Leuzinger lost to Santa Monica back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Olympians lost 10-1 to the Vikings. The matchup marked the Olympians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leuzinger saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Nunez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Santos Corona also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Leuzinger's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Santa Monica, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leuzinger will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lennox Academy at 3:30 p.m. on April 3. As for Santa Monica, they will be playing at home against Simi Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
