Halifax Academy had won three straight games and Payton Odom did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Vikings blew past the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans 3-0 thanks in part to Odom, who had nine digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 15 times she's played.

While Halifax Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-23.

Leading Halifax Academy to victory were Emma Inscoe and Jessa Pope. Inscoe had 14 digs, while Pope had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs gave Pope a new career-high.
