Basketball Game Preview: Mishawaka Cavemen vs. Fort Wayne North Side Legends

The Mishawaka Cavemen will be taking part in a tournament against the Fort Wayne North Side Legends at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Mishawaka strolled past New Prairie with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. The team ran away with 39 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Wayne North Side). They snuck past Lakeland with a 62-56 win on Saturday. With that victory, the Legends brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.

Fort Wayne North Side's win came from a few key players Mishawaka will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sebastian Moore, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Woods, who posted nine points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

Fort Wayne North Side was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Mishawaka's record is now 2-4. As for Fort Wayne North Side, their record is now 2-3.
