Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons vs. North Tahoe Lakers
After flying high against the Silver Stage Nighthawks last Tuesday, the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons came back down to earth. Coral Academy of Science - Reno was outmatched by North Tahoe on the road and fell 45-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Coral Academy of Science - Reno has scored all season.
North Tahoe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makenna Alter out in front who scored nine points along with three steals. Alter hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Alana Hendricks, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Coral Academy of Science - Reno has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for North Tahoe, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Coral Academy of Science - Reno's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oasis Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Oasis Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for North Tahoe, they will be playing at home against Sierra Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sierra Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday.
