Football Game Preview: Perry Central Commodores vs. North Daviess Cougars

The Perry Central Commodores will challenge the North Daviess Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Perry Central: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home dating back to last season, while North Daviess has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Perry Central blew Mitchell out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Mitchell got their revenge. The Commodores fell just short of the Bluejackets by a score of 23-20. Surprisingly, this marked the Commodores' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 36 points the game before, North Daviess was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springs Valley. The Cougars have struggled against the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Daviess fell to 8-1. As for Perry Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Perry Central ended up a good deal behind North Daviess in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, losing 24-8. Can the Commodores avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
