Volleyball Game Preview: Clever Blue Jays vs. Mountain Grove Panthers

The Clever Blue Jays will head out on the road to face off against the Mountain Grove Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Clever came up short against Hollister and fell 3-1. The Blue Jays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 21-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mountain Grove duked it out with Winona on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since September 22nd.

Mountain Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Clever, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12-3.

Clever was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain Grove when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Jays since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
