River Ridge is 10-0 against Gulf since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. River Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Last Wednesday, River Ridge got the win against Hudson by a conclusive 5-1. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

River Ridge hit Hudson with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landen Hebb (2), Alton Murati, Decker Baird, and Marko Maric.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Gulf after they claimed the first goal on Monday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Bishop McLaughlin Catholic by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now lost three in a row.

The win made it two in a row for River Ridge and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1. As for Gulf, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

River Ridge took their victory against Gulf in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 12-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for River Ridge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
