Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph's Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Madison-Ridgeland Academy

St. Joseph's Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Madison-Ridgeland Academy. The Redstickers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Redstickers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Keira Hariel was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 assists and two aces.

St. Joseph's Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 24-14.

Coming up, St. Joseph's Academy will welcome Parkview Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Jackson Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
